These items are crafted from Mango wood from Thailand. In an ideal world, these Mango trees would not be cut. But they are being cut for land clearance, and it is better to recycle this fine quality wood than burn it as slash, which is the alternative. The wood is hand stained in attractive patterns and polished to a rich lustre. We do not recommend putting water in the vases.
